Nihir Shah

Dr Nihir Shah qualified in dentistry from King’s College London in 1992. He subsequently trained within some of the leading oral surgery units in the UK and, in 1996, was awarded the prestigious Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England — a distinction achieved by relatively few dentists.
 
Nihir worked within the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Northwick Park Hospital until 2005, where he was actively involved in teaching and research alongside developing his private practice interests. During his training, he also gained valuable experience in restorative dentistry, uniquely positioning him to both place and restore dental implants with a comprehensive understanding of surgical and restorative treatment planning.
 
In 2008, Nihir acquired Stag Lane Dental Centre, which he has since developed and refurbished to an exceptionally high standard.
 
An experienced general dentist and Specialist Oral Surgeon, Nihir has developed strong roots as a referral practitioner within the local community and regularly assists referring dentists with complex surgical and implant cases. He has a particular interest in implant dentistry, advanced surgical procedures and full-arch rehabilitation, and enjoys working closely with colleagues to deliver comprehensive patient care.
 
Passionate about staying at the forefront of modern implant dentistry, Nihir enjoys incorporating the latest techniques and digital technology into his clinical workflow to help achieve predictable, high-quality outcomes for his patients.
 
Nihir is a certified ADI Implant Mentor and welcomes enquiries regarding structured implant mentoring. He is a member of both the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI), regularly attending national and international conferences as well as lecturing to local dental groups.
 
Alongside his clinical work in the UK, Nihir regularly travels to Kenya and Uganda to support dental charity initiatives, where he oversees and provides clinical care within outreach dental clinics. This work reflects his ongoing commitment to improving access to dental care and supporting communities with limited resources.
 
Known for his calm, approachable nature and wealth of experience, Nihir is dedicated to providing high-quality care tailored to each individual patient.
 
Outside of dentistry, Nihir enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and exploring good food from around the world.
Highly recommended ********** I went in for a tooth extraction yesterday. It could have been a troublesome extraction which is why I chose to go to an experienced oral surgeon. Twenty minutes after entering the surgery, I was out. Job done. No pain whatsoever. Today I hardly feel anything. Superb job by Dr Shah - one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. A couple of years ago my daughter had an implant done by Dr Shah. It was a brilliant job. That's one of the reasons I went to see him. If you need an experienced, pair hands skillfully working on your precious teeth, Dr Shah is your man.

I visited this practice as a new patient and can honestly say it is one of the best practices I have ever been to. I was greeted by the practice manager Kas on arrival who was friendly and attentive; despite this current pandemic everything was clean and organised and I felt safe. I was then seen by Dr Amit Devlukia for a routine examination and a clean and polish. He was very knowledgeable and had a friendly approach. He was honest, patient and explained things in detail which no other dentist has ever done in the past. He even managed to squeeze me in for my 3D stimulation scan required for invisalign and was very thorough. I'm so glad I changed my previous dentist and will be recommending this practice and Dr Amit to my family and friends..
